I was born and raised in southern Wisconsin where I earned my bachelor and masters degrees in the field of counseling. I began my career as a Social Worker at an inpatient facility, helping me build and define my clinical skills. My husband and I moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1985 and have never regretted living in the beautiful Texas climate. We have had the distinct privilege of raising our son, the delight of our lives.
I began serving the San Antonio community by addressing the needs of adolescents who were making choices which put them at risk for entering the juvenile justice system. My objective was to divert those young people away from incarceration and toward a more fulfilling life.
For the next 14 years I provided counseling and support groups to adolescents and their families through a local counseling agency.
Following my employment at the counseling agency, I branched off into the private practice I enjoy today. My approach is to address the concerns of individuals, couples and families as they struggle to overcome obstacles in the way of a happy, content, rewarding life. Through my years of experience in counseling, I have learned a great deal about how people think and how their thoughts contribute to their circumstances and conflicts. When we work together I will share with you the secrets I've discovered about the proven, step-by-step
solution to changing your negative thoughts, overcoming your conflicts and living the life you wish.
Psychology Today...Throughout my career I have had the honor of working with many qualified professionals. One of them is a former intern of mine named Michelle E. Vasquez. She is an LPC in San Antonio, working with couples to improve relationships. You can contact Ms. Vasquez at
